Time think about 2016😁

11/24/15

mom2
I know it’s a little early to think about making resolutions, however I am so excited to ensure my calendar is filled with awesome art shows, classes ( teaching AND participating ) and painting! The only way is to envision 2016 and go for it!

Creating art daily has been a goal of mine for quite a while and it’s IS happening! I am somehow able to just get over all the things I thought were in my way….it turns out “I” was in my way. Look out 2016

Painting Classes

11/23/15

imageOne of the most rewarding aspects of art is to be able to share it with others by teaching them how to make it. I find that most people have an idea that they could NEVER paint, draw or create anything. Certainly that is not the case! These ladies in the photo above are proof that all you need is the willingness to try ( and a good instructor). I enjoy instructing these casual painting classes and plan to offer them frequently throughout 2016.

call me anytime at 440-537-8315 to host a class. I bring everything you will need ( paints, brushes, canvas etc) $30 per person!

Flood The Streets With Art

11/21/15

imageWith Black Friday  almost upon us, I am please to report that I will be joining thousands of other artists across the United States leaving art somewhere in the Cleveland area on the Friday following Thanksgiving  I believe this is the third annual event of its kind in an effort to celebrate the season by leaving free art to be found by an unassuming person to enjoy! I hope you will all be on the look out for these hidden gems on Black Friday. If you want to be a participating artist ( and it’s not too late ) simply go to flood the streets with art on Facebook! Invite artist friends!

Trees…..growth!

10/23/15

image

I know that it’s difficult ( actually terrifying ) to put yourself  ” out there” as an artist. Most of my time on this earth has been in hold my breath, fear of being seen. Painting these trees, for some reason have helped me grow into a person ” artist ” who doesn’t seem to have a difficult time stating  ” I am an artist ”

You know how it is…..all your friends and family just LOVE your work ( probably because they love you ) . At least that’s what you think. I am finally able to just do it….put myself out there and guess what? I’m getting some second looks, awards, sales and of course rejections. But that is all part of it and it is thrilling. So what if I fail….that just means..I wasn’t afraid to try! I surprisingly find the rejections make me work a little more. But it’s not work. It’s growing.

Lake County Humane Society Donation

10/18/15

As a firm believer in animal rescue and adoption, I am happy to say that I am donating a 12″x12″ painting to the Lake County Ohio Humane Society’s Black Cat Ball silent auction. The Ball will be held at the LaMalfa Party Center in Mentor on Friday, October 24th. The winner of this prize will receive an acrylic painting of the pet of their choice, signed by me and worth one hundred dollars. I am excited to help raise funds for an organization near and dear to my heart and one that does so much good for the community.

Really Excited

10/18/15

So pumped! This one took 2nd place in the Euclid Art Association show at Lake Farm Park for the acrylic/oil category. I love painting these trees from a ground to sky perspective. It reminds me of how very small we are in this very large world where the sky is the limit! I could paint a hundred of them and never tire of the feeling “Looking Up”
